We are Japanese people who were born in Japan, raised in Japan, and currently reside in Japan.
We attended school in Japan, nurtured our dreams in Japan, entered society, and worked to achieve self-fulfillment.
In the process, our minds and bodies became exhausted, making it difficult to continue working. We sought medical care, relied on welfare services, and managed to sustain our lives. Then, in 2006, I met recovery, and in [year], Kame-chan also encountered recovery and peer support, which became a turning point in our lives. The two of us met in 2017 while working at the same hospital.
Recovery, peer support, and WRAP changed our lives. Now, as peer supporters, we are sharing this with others who are currently struggling.
As I began to share this with others, I wanted to learn more about peer support and WRAP. Neter moved to the United States alone in 2019 and, starting in 2023, has been returning to the U.S. once a year with Kame-chan to deepen their learning.
With companions, we can move forward.
Two men who once gave up on life now have the wings of peer support and return to the United States every year.
I want to share with you the changes that have occurred in us through our trips to America.
Thank you, peer support.
Everyone, please teach us about peer support again this year.
Please teach us about peer support. We can go much further. The journey of life that had limits alone. As peer supporters, we can go anywhere. From one side of the Earth to the other.
Let's go west.
One day, we'd like to invite you all to Japan.
Let's work toward the day when our experiences Wrap around the World and make recovery the Universal norm.
