My favorite creative wellness tool is Diamond Painting. It is something that is easily learned and can be done by just about anyone. Diamond painting is a craft where you create a sparkling image by placing colorful resin rhinestones, also known as "drills," onto a pre-printed, adhesive canvas. It's a bit like paint-by-numbers, but instead of paint, you use these tiny, diamond-like pieces, creating a dazzling, textured artwork. I would love to do a quick tutorial showing attendees how to diamond paint, the basics. There would be a relatively small cost to the event as there are diamond painting kits that come in bulk. Depending on how many participants would be expected, I am estimating cost to be around $60 for 24 attendees. If more people would be expect to attend, cost could be estimated at about $30 per 12 participants. I would personally supplement costs from there as I have some materials that I would be happy to donate, as other members of the Diamond Painting community have offered to donate materials as well. This was all participants have adequate supplies. All participants would get started on their own diamond painting and be able to take all the materials necessary to complete the canvas at home. Diamond Painting is utilized as a wellness tool but many all over the world. We have an international community, that not only diamond paints, but provides support and friendship to each other as many of us live with a variety of mental health and physical conditions.
